Great and marvelous things are happening among us especially as the community progress in economic status. Through technology, many jobs are offered as the businesses are spreading throughout the country. More people are given the opportunity to have employment; but we can also see that the crime rate is going up and also pollution is rampant in spite of the great progress made in the society.

With this in mind, our future is at stake if we do not take of today. The youth are the ones who can make that change in the future. With proper guidance and affirm their capabilities they can be a force to be reckon with. They are the future leaders of the country that will bring progression and lead the country for further advancement.

To do that, the government provides a program of Mentoring for the young people to have big sisters and brothers to assist them. Mentoring is a tool to help somebody grow through self discovery and learning from others’ experience. Volunteers have helped these kids realize that the y have the potential to be great and capable of changing a nation. This support program is conducted at schools and neighborhood.

Certain issues in the family and society are being cultivated to prevent further damage on the child’s perspective of the future. It helps the person in their self-confidence and develops their skill. It encourages kids to get involve in music, arts sports. Their study habit are also being developed, they tutor them until they can stand alone and do good in their subjects in school. It promotes further diligence in school.

Some of the issues that are being tackled in the mentoring are the abuse of alcohol and drugs, skipping school, peer pressure, pre-marital sex, rebellion against parents and authority, violence and other crimes that are mostly committed by young people growing in the society. The goal is to make this kids have better relationships with parents, in school and in the community. These issues will be carefully handled to trace the root of every misdeed and lead them to a change life.

Young people are a priority for the future to be better and U.S. government gives grants to the future leaders of the society believing that they will make an impact someday.
